PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Chih-Ying, born and raised in Taiwan, has been in the field of early care and education for over 25 years. She started her career as a teaching assistant in the lab school of Weber State University, where she discovered her passion as a professional development facilitator. She later coordinated professional development for Migrant Head Start and family child care programs in Utah. After moving to the Bay Area, CA, Chih-Ying was a teacher and administrator in toddler, preschool, and bilingual programs, as well as college instructor. Since 2008, she has served a variety of programs as an ECE coach and consultant, with specialty in the areas of reflective curriculum planning, responsive caregiving, intentional interactions, and dual language learning.

Chih-Ying holds a Master of Science degree in family and human development with an emphasis in early childhood from Utah State University, and an B.A. with dual majors in early childhood and family studies. She is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
